Too often, big ideas get lost because of small barriers — no website, no funding, no support. NGINE breaks those barriers by offering free business support to young startup businesses.
The academic route is clearly defined: school, college, University, with support, curriculums and funding from people that have been through the system to move young people along that journey.
We're looking to collaborate with businesses to offer the same level of support and guidance to our young entrepreneurs.
Young people apply with a business idea. Even during the application process, they will need to answer real business viability questions to help them think and understand if their business has potential.
We review their business plan, give feedback, and if accepted, we help them go live with a website, logo, CRM setup, and access to direct business mentorship, tools and peer support.
We aim to fund the programme with sponsorships from established businesses who will receive real world benefits for helping our future leaders to learn and develop their own business.
We’re looking for local businesses, mentors, and community backers to power this movement.
Sponsors help fund access to tools and visibility for young founders and in return, they’re recognised, appreciated, and remembered.
A sponsorship can open a door for a young aspiring business founder (or founders) and with your help, we want to grow NGINE beyond our trial phase to more areas, creating more advanced tools and hubs and drive young businesspeople forward.
Our mentors and sponsors invest a lot of time and money into every NGINE project, therefore we have a series of strict criteria that all applicants must satisfy
To apply to NGINE, you must meet this criteria:
You must be between the ages of 14 and 21 at the time of submitting your application
If you are under 18, you must have an appropriate adult who can act as your representative
You must submit a business plan and you must not use AI to create that business plan
You must actively work on your business each week and report on your progress
You must include the approved NGINE logo on marketing materials
You must live in Atherton, Manchester or the surrounding areas
Before you apply, take a look at some of the most common questions that we get asked...
Yes, the NGINE programme was built to help young entrepreneurs and innovators to get the same support, knowledge and skills pursuing a business as they would do any other academic subject. So we don't charge successful applicants a penny for being a part of the programme until you make at least £100 in a month.
Once you're making £100 per month, then we charge £5 for that month. When you earn over £1000 in a month, that fee will rise to £30/month to help fund other opportunities for young business people. Considering the tools and guidance you're getting access to would cost thousands per month, we think that's a pretty fair deal.
However, because we invest a huge amount of time and money into each and every young business that we help launch, we will hold you accountable and will expect you to be consistently working on your business every week in addition to your school work to keep your eligibility for the programme.
The vast majority of our funding comes from the extreme generosity of our sponsors. Our sponsors are mostly other business owners who understand the financial, emotional and social difficulties that starting up a business can create and they want to help.
If you would like to become a sponsor and change a young person's life, then please get in touch or visit our sponsors page to find out more.
Unfortunately due the the high costs and large number of applications, you must be under 21 at the time of applying to be eligible for the NGINE programme. If you are over 21, we may still be able to help you get started at a discounted rate by referring you to one of our partners though, so get in touch!
At the moment we are running a pilot programme through a trial period, with each business taking a lot of time and money to launch, so we will be accepting a maximum number of 5 businesses into NGINE.
We hope to expand our support to more businesses in future, but to do that we need to secure more funding and more sponsors. If you would like to support us, please visit our sponsors page.
We aim to respond to all business applications within 2 weeks, however we personally look over every business plan and try to offer feedback to help young people wherever possible, regardless of whether you're accepted into NGINE, so sometimes this process can take longer.
